Kevin Myren is a certified public accountant. He currently serves
as Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Administration at
CommonBond Communities – the largest non-profit provider of
affordable housing in the Midwest, headquartered in St. Paul, Minnesota.
He is Secretary/Treasurer of the Board of Directors of CommonBond
Housing Corporation and CommonBond Investment Corp. Further, Kevin
is vice president and CFO of CommonBond Endowment Corporation and
the Senior Vice President for numerous non-profit housing communities
in the Midwest. He also has his own business providing finance and
administrative services and consulting for non-profit organizations.
Kevin has worked with various regional public accounting and consulting
firms specializing in service to non-profit and government clients.
He is a frequent presenter on topics related to Federal regulations
for grant funded organizations, change management, cooperative ventures
and organizational accountability.
Prior to joining CommonBond, he was the Chief Finance Officer at Augsburg
College and Madison Area Technical College (MATC). During his 22 years
in previous positions, he has developed financial systems and procedures
culminating with receipt of a coveted AAA rating from Moody’s
and Standard and Poors, while at MATC. Summary
This will be a free training on budgeting in compliance with OMB A-110.
The training will include indicators for measuring upcoming problems
and successes, best practices in budget development and monitoring
and key systemic financial indicators to catch problems and gauge
success.
