Federal Level:  
 As Congress and President Obama start working on budget appropriations, deficit reductions, and a five-year Farm Bill, advocacy groups are working on contacting Congressional members and the White House with a reminder to protect and strengthen the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP.) READ MORE

Take Action
Call, email, tweet, or Facebook-whatever you have time to do-the White House, Sen. Cantwell, Sen. Murray, and your U.S. Representative, letting them know that #SNAPworks.

In other words, let them know that now is the time to protect and strengthen SNAP as Congress discusses how to reduce our deficit, works on a budget for the next fiscal year, and reauthorizes a five year Farm Bill.
The mission of Northwest Harvest is to provide nutritious food to hungry people statewide in a manner that respects their dignity, while fighting to eliminate hunger.
